RSV antibodies
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common respiratory virus that affects the lungs and respiratory tract. It can cause mild cold-like symptoms in adults and older children, but it can be more severe in infants and young children, as well as in older adults and individuals with weakened immune systems.
RSV is an enveloped, negative-strand RNA virus. The RSV genome is a single strand of RNA composed of approximately 15,000 nucleotides that are transcribed into 11 major mRNAs. Each of the mRNAs encodes a major viral protein. Three of these proteins are transmembrane surface proteins (G, F, and SH), with G antigen being the major target for subunit vaccine development.
GenHunter has 5 monoclonal antibodies against RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus): a broadly neutralizing mAb (NAb), 3 neutralizing antibodies, and a broadly binding mAb.
